The Kalaweit organization has been fighting for the preservation of biodiversity in Indonesia since 1997.In Borneo and Sumatra, it saves forests from deforestation with the close collaboration of local populations and takes care of wild animals affected by trafficking. The production of palm oil, the increasing extraction of nickel, coal, and gold threaten the Indonesian forests.

Salon du Bien-être Animal in Belgium
The Kalaweit Belgium team will have a booth at the Salon du Bien-être Animal (Animal Welfare Fair) in Quiévrain (Belgium) on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Concettina will be happy to tell you about the work Kalaweit is doing on the ground to protect Indonesia's forests.
